Nehru Yuvajana Seva Sangham (NYSS) has implemented numerous programs focusing on diverse areas such as rural development, women’s empowerment, welfare of girl children, health, education, and emergency relief. Below is an organized account of our key initiatives:
Our interventions target Health, Education, Women Empowerment, and Community Development. By working closely with rural and tribal communities, we address issues at the grassroots level through healthcare programs, education, skill-building, and sustainable livelihood projects.
Rural Development
- Mango Orchard Development Enabled sustainable income for rural families through orchard plantations in partnership with Science & Development Organization.
- Food for Work Program Transformed barren tribal lands into cultivable fields for food security and livelihoods through CASA support.
- Village Road Construction Improved access to schools, hospitals, and markets in remote areas under the CAPART scheme.
Women Empowerment
- Self-Help Groups Formed and supported SHGs through Rashtriya Mahila Kosh, fostering economic independence and leadership among rural women.
- Livestock Distribution Provided over 120 women with goats for sustainable livelihood generation.
Girl Children Welfare
- Girls' Home Providing shelter, education, food, and love to more than 165 orphaned and destitute girls.
- Higher Education Support Financially supporting rural girls to access quality higher education and career opportunities.
- Vocational Training Tailoring and skill-building programs empower girls to start their own ventures.
Healthcare and Disability Services
- HIV/AIDS Interventions Recognized with an A++ certificate by APSACS for awareness, prevention, and care efforts in partnership with NACO.
- Support for Children with Disabilities Distributed wheelchairs, tricycles, and hearing aids; offered therapy and counseling support.
- Leprosy Rehabilitation Provided clothing, goats, and dignity to leprosy-affected individuals.
- Medical and Eye Camps Treated thousands through health camps, eye checkups, surgeries, and free medicine distribution.
Education and Youth Development
- Education Guarantee Scheme Reintegration of school dropouts into formal education through state-supported initiatives.
- Skill Development Programs Equipping youth with employable skills in rural and tribal communities.
Emergency Relief
- COVID-19 Relief Delivered food kits and essentials to over 10,000 families during the pandemic.
- Disaster Relief Provided support in times of natural calamities with food, shelter, and medical kits.
